About the CRRE

UCSD Extension's research division, the Center for Research on the Regional Economy (CRRE), is a world-renowned research center that is making changes through data-driven research. The research team has in-house expertise from workforce trends, regional economic studies, program evaluations, and continuing education expertise. The CRRE also works with UCSD Extension as its in-house research hub where they evaluate over 100 certificate programs and more than 4,300 courses per year, for student satisfaction and impact.

Additionally, the CRRE is spearheading efforts to teach others in the community how to use data to make informed decisions. The Center has recently created the Community Research and Program Evaluation Certificate that focuses on teaching working professionals foundational skills for program evaluation, data collection, and community research. The Center also has a research fellows program that works with undergraduate and graduate students to teach them analytical research skills.
